Planning Library

The library received a grant from a private resident to purchase books on the subjects of Long Range & Community Planning. These books are meant to serve as a resource for Nacogdoches residents and help increase the community’s knowledge of important planning principles and processes, to help develop a common language to talk about challenges and opportunities as the City embarks on the process of updating our Comprehensive Plan and Downtown Master Plan. At the grantor’s request, these books were selected by members of the planning consultant team, DTJ Design, with topics covering transportation, infrastructure, downtown planning, building design, and development patterns.

The books are available for check out at the library at the end of the Spanish-language collection in the adult nonfiction section. You can also find the full list online in the Library Catalog. All 12 titles of the collection can be found by searching “Comprehensive Land Use Plan” or “Downtown Master Plan”. They were purchased through a donation given by Matt Moore.
